This feels very TOS. Meet some sexy space africans, who have somehow managed to concoct some vaccine to some space AIDS that the Federation can't come up with or replicate, they steal Yar (just let them keep her, sheesh), blah blah blah, honor, blah blah blah.
Oh and look it is Wesley being a little crybaby some more.
I want to blame this one on Roddenberry too but I think its just shitty writing. The lady who wrote it only wrote one other ST episode and it was for DS9, she spent the rest of the time writing fucking Stargate episodes, where sci-fi goes to die.
I don't see why they didn't just stun these fuckers and take their vaccine. Prime Directive or not they insinuated that millions of people would die because of this crazy space african honor nonsense. Sometimes you just gotta do the math and blast some dummies.
I must say, their electric cage fighting ring was pretty sweet. Probably the only not racist thing in the whole god damn episode.
